With a powerful senior lineup — Christina Ginex, Olivia Kurth, and Gianna Apostolakos — and an electric underclassmen crew led by Auburn commit Bella Maria and sophomore standout Isabella Cino, Donovan Catholic is stacked with next-level talent.

Congratulations to the Robo Griffins on this win! 🎉🤖 When faced with a difficult challenge during Sunday’s competition, the team quickly came together to fix their robot in under ten minutes, never missing a single round. This tenacity won them the prestigious Judges’ Award in the competition.

Congratulations to James Harris on being selected as a National Youth Correspondent for the 2025 Washington Journalism and Media Conference at George Mason University!

Josalyn Rush broke the Indoor Track & Field school record in the LONG JUMP on February 18 at the Rebel Field Invitational.

Morgan Poskay breaks the school record in the 200 with a time of 26.56 at the Garden State Invitational on Friday night at Ocean Breeze in Staten Island.

Bishop David O’Connell, chair of the Committee on Catholic Education, represents and supports the federal school choice bill introduced on Capitol Hill.

EntreX Students Shine In Their Project Showcase - Next Stop, Rutgers!

Through our partnership with the University of Delaware, Donovan students gain access to EntreX, an unparalleled entrepreneurial learning experience. This week, our EntreX students presented their innovative business ideas to a panel of judges, including entrepreneur and Donovan alumni Aidan Vetter.

Their ideas included:

Steplux, a fashion-forward activity tracker by Nicolette Gonzalez & Georgia Phillips

Smart Sprout, a plant-watering app by James Aldrich, Brooke Bowbliss & Justin Ramirez

After impressive presentations and thoughtful Q&A sessions, Smart Sprout was named the winner of the competition! The Smart Sprout team will advance to the next round at Rutgers University at the end of this month!

Congratulations to all of our EntreX students for their hard work, and especially to the Smart Sprout team for their outstanding achievement.

The Donovan Catholic Boys Swim Team took on St. Rose High School in the first round of states on Wednesday, February 4, and it was a night to remember!

The Iron Griffins brought their strength and spirit to the USPA Winter Showdown this past Saturday in Eatontown, NJ!

Honoring Those Who Serve: Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

Donovan Makes Waves at the Ocean County Swim Championships! On January 12th, both our boys and girls swim teams put on a fantastic show at the Ocean Counties, securing an impressive 6th place out of 13 schools!

Boys Team Highlights:
Matt Liotti took 1st in the 100 Backstroke (54.31) and 2nd in the 200 IM (2:02.33)
Liam Adams earned 2nd in the 200 Freestyle (1:49.29) and 3rd in the 100 Freestyle (50.17)
200 & 400 Freestyle Relay teams both snagged 4th place finishes
Big improvements from the 200 Medley Relay team, dropping time from 2:11.27 to 2:04.91!

Girls Team Highlights:
Julianna Pineda placed 7th in the 50 Freestyle (26.99) and 9th in the 100 Freestyle (1:01.34)
Bridget Felser & Anna Hnatt both earned Shore Conference qualifying times!
Leah Krompholz finished 10th in the 500 Freestyle, showcasing her distance strength
Victoria Callea & Rachael Canale showed amazing potential, just shy of Shore Conference times!

Donovan Finance Students celebrate an award-winning first semester in our new Bloomberg lab!

Donovan Finance Students place 127 out of 2,000 teams globally in recent Bloomberg challenge!!

Our students are diving deep into the world of finance through hands-on experience with Bloomberg financial software. Some of the exciting labs our students have completed include...

Analyzing a country's economic status

Evaluating stocks and researching currencies

Creating investment plans for clients

Analyzing public companies for investment opportunities

But that's not all! Our students also competed in a global Bloomberg Trading Challenge, competing against over 2,000 teams worldwide. With a starting virtual $1 million, they used their skills to maximize profits over a 6-week period. Some teams ranked as high as 127th globally!

And the learning doesn’t stop there! Our Donovan Trading Challenge is ongoing, with the final competition wrapping up today January 13, 2025.

Donovan Finance Students receive their Certificates of Completion from Bloomberg for Education

Join us as we proudly recognize the first classes to complete the Bloomberg Market Concepts course in our newly opened Bloomberg Finance Lab at Donovan Catholic High School. This semester, Donovan students gained valuable real-world experience and applied their knowledge in a hands-on environment.
