The Donovan Catholic Habitat for Humanity Chapter’s Executive Board Members went out today to build walls for a house that is going to be assembled in Berkeley Township.

Father Christopher Colavito, director of Vocations for the Trenton Diocese, spoke to Donovan's junior and senior boys about the priesthood.   Father Colavito shared his own vocation story and encouraged our young men to support others who are drawn to the priesthood.

Father made an excellent point when he said that God calls enough men to the priesthood; the problem is that many do not respond to that call.   Our society is not one which supports those who choose this vocation.   Let us do all we can to encourage our students, sons, nephews or brothers if they show an interest.

Our student body along with SJGS 7th & 8th graders viewed the movie "PRAY".  We learned of the incredible life of Father Patrick Peyton who encouraged millions to live by the motto:  "The family that prays together stays together."  Now, more than ever our world is in need of the healing power of prayer.

Our chefs were in their element today with a personal tour of our very own Donovan Catholic kitchen. They learned about the equipment used in an industrial kitchen. How many chefs can we fit in the Walk In?   It was a lot of fun but boy were we cold   We ended the morning in our high school cafeteria!

Our chefs channeled a taste of Italy today at lunch as they created their personal pizzas.  Thank you to the Boemio Family of Atillio's Pizza for all our pizza ingredients . Everyone enjoyed and brought home their leftovers for later!

Our little chefs are so excited with everything they are learning, they have already started cooking at home! Chef Ben brought us in one of his masterpieces this morning, Egg Bites!
