Donovan Catholic competed in the Golden Eagle Invite at the Ocean County YMCA on Friday, January 24,

and the Griffins made waves once again! This meet provided an opportunity for swimmers on the verge of earning qualifying times for the Shore Conference to showcase their skills—and our athletes delivered outstanding performances, bringing home more medals!

Girls Team Highlights:

 Victoria Callea placed 2nd in the 100 YD Backstroke (1:12.04), earning a Shore Conference Qualifying time.
 Rachael Canale secured 2nd place in the 100 YD Breaststroke (1:22.24) and achieved the Shore Conference cut time.
 Emaleigh Alborn finished 5th in the 100 YD Breaststroke (1:25.34).

Boys Team Highlights:

 The 200 YD Medley Relay team—Demitri Maugeri, Richard McGowan, Devin Vital, and Joey Egan—placed 3rd with a time of 2:15.60.
 Zach Armstrong claimed 3rd place in the 200 YD Individual Medley (2:57.60).
 Carter Gingras placed 6th in the 100 YD Backstroke (1:20.36).
 Logan Parella finished 5th in the 100 YD Backstroke (1:19.25).
 Zach Armstrong took 3rd place in the 100 YD Backstroke (1:17.49).
 Richard McGowan secured 4th place in the 100 YD Breaststroke (1:24.05).
