Wall Street is coming to Donovan Catholic in September 2024!
We are blessed to have generous donors who believe in our mission to enable us to partner with Bloomberg Finance to bring Bloomberg for Education to Donovan Catholic. I've included an explanation of both below.
Our Finance Lab will host 20 Bloomberg Terminals, allowing students access to real-time data from markets worldwide and news, research, and powerful analytics used by top finance, business, and government decision-makers.
Using case studies and software analytics will enable students to create well-developed Equity Portfolios and assess risk by researching specific companies and indices. The class will participate in the Bloomberg Trading Challenge. In this collaborative project, teams of 3-5 students will develop a strategy and execute trades to achieve the highest profit against their competitors. Students will also have the opportunity to earn a Bloomberg Market Concepts certification, if desired, through a standardized examination provided by Bloomberg.
This is an exciting opportunity for Donovan Catholic since we are the only high school in the Diocese of Trenton and Ocean County to have Bloomberg Terminals! Only a few schools in New Jersey have this top-of-line technology available to our students.
