Pottery Camp was very productive. The Potters created a vessel from a slab and a whimsical turtle sculpture!

Pottery Camp Day 2
Today the Donovan Potters learned how to make a proper coil and how to use a variety of motifs to create patterns.
They designed their idea and began to create a coil vessel. The process will continue tomorrow, stay tuned!
Pottery Camp Day 3
The Potters continued adding coil motifs to complete their really cool coil vessels today.
We also made some ornaments and magnets with our extra clay.
The Potters learned about the kiln and the firing process. They helped load their bowls into the kiln .
All other pieces are drying out to be fired in the kiln. We return in 2 weeks to Glaze our pieces.

Pottery Camp Week 2 Day 1
The Kiln was fired and today the Potter’s glazed their potter's bowls and coil vessels.
As they completed the pieces we put them back in the Kiln to be “glaze fired tomorrow!

display of their pieces for some of the office staff to enjoy.
