Jenna Panek will be continuing her education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine following her graduation from Rutgers University in
May 2019.

 JEFF AUER C’88

Jeff Auer (C'88) has written, co-produced & starring in the film, “The Incoherents."  It was screened at The Garden State Film Festival in Asbury on March 31st with many MDHS alumni in attendance.

TOM FARRELL C’85

Tom Farrell recently had an article published in DisruptED TV Magazine, “Extraordinary State of New Jersey School Funding.”  The purpose of this article is to explain school funding and the budgeting process, in particular, detail special education “extraordinary aid” (“Exaid”).  Tom is currently the Shared Regional  Superintendent of Schools for the Shore Regional and West Long Branch School Districts in New Jersey. He is a doctoral candidate in the inaugural cohort at Monmouth University. He served in the capacity of high school principal, middle school assistant principal, Director of Technology/Communications, and business teacher/coach over his many years in public education.

LEAH BROGAN C’05  

Leah Brogan, PhD was named a 2019-2021 Stoneleigh Emerging Leader Fellow. Through this Emerging Leader Fellowship, Leah will work with the Juvenile Justice Research and Reform Lab, the PA Juvenile Court Judges Commission, and the PA Council of Chief Juvenile Probation Officers to establish a technical assistance mentorship team model and to expand Graduated Response implementation statewide. Teams will support PA counties at various stages of their Graduated Response systems’ development and implementation. Specifically, this Fellowship will enable Leah to establish and oversee a mentorship and coaching model to assist counties in translating Graduated Response theory into practice. 
Leah will engage in statewide juvenile probation transformation efforts 
by serving as a coordinator and content expert on mentorship teams
by creating an evaluation infrastructure. DONOVAN PROUD!

  TRAVIS BLAU C’08

Travis Blau was named Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach at Felician University. Travis assisted with the Golden Falcons on a volunteer basis since the program's inception, taking on one of their first collegiate coaching positions. He is primarily responsible for player development of the Golden Falcon defense. He has previous experience as the goalkeepers' coach and defensive coordinator for Saint Rose High School. Travis was a goalie at MDHS and at Division-I Mount St. Mary's University. He has a B.S. in Sports Management from MSMU (2012), a B.A. in English from Kean University (2013) and an M.A. in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Seton Hall University (2018).  CONGRATS TO TRAVIS!

JAYCE MAXWELL C’08

Jayce Maxwell was named Head Track Coach at Long Branch High School for the girl’s team.  Jayce was a very successful runner while at MDHS and then at Rowan University.  We wish Jayce the best of luck with this new endeavor!

Chrystopher Mulligan was named an associate producer for Neil Cavuto's
Coast to Coast show on Fox Business Channel.

ALYSSA WILSON C’17

Congratulations to Alyssa Wilson for earning First-Team All-America honors in the shot put with a 4th place (17.38m) finish at the
NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships representing UCLA! YOU CONTINUE TO MAKE DONOVAN PROUD ALYSSA!

 

 

GRIFFIN BASKETBALL ALUMNI NEWS

Mike Boice and Riley Collins (both C’16) helped Drew University to their first 20 win season and the first Landmark Conference regular season title in school history. Riley was named Player of the Year for the Landmark.

 

Chris Scerbo (C’12) is the assistant coach of the Fordham Rams Women’s team.  The team won the Atlantic Ten championship and qualified for the NCAA tournament.
